We use OpenStreetMap, the world map real database.
Our app features different layers to provide a detailed visualization of the island. The first layer displays the geographical map, which provides an accurate representation of the topography of the area. The second layer focuses on infrastructure, which includes buildings, roads, parks, and other major constructions. Finally, the third layer shows the locations currently registered in our system, including businesses, parking lots, monuments, shops, hotels, and government facilities, etc.
Using your finger on your peripheral touchscreen, or the pointer, drag to the area that you want to visit.
GPS is one of the powerful tools in BoricuaTour Maps. You need to activate the GPS and the blue circle turns on indicating your live position. This point moves according to your live location. Locate in open places for better results.
Your GPS and TRACKING mode is ON. You cannot drag in the map area, always your location is in the center of the map area. Press to turn OFF the TRACKING mode.

Important: Recommended for mobile devices. Your live location signal depends on your internet service company, peripheral equipment, and the local ambient (walls, closed spaces, etc.). Locate in open places for a better location. In some cases, if you turn OFF the GPS, and then ON, from our application, our system will ask you for the new location verification, refreshing your screen.

The Search Bar Box is a powerful tool with a Search Results Menu [ ], single-line Search Text Box [ Search... ], a Category Filter [ ], a Radio Location [ 1 km ], and a Search Icon [ ] with the dedicated function of accepting user input to be searched in the BoricuaTour Maps database. The Search Bar Box works automatically when you enter the text, offering immediate search results.
The Search Icon [ ] indicates that no searching is maked in the Search Text Box [ Search... ] (see the red box). The Cancel Icon [ ] indicates that a searching is maked in the Search Text Box [ san juan ] (see the red box). To cancel the search and clean the Search Text Box [ san juan ], click the Cancel Icon [ ].
To open, or close the Search Results Menu [ ], click the Search Results Menu [ ] icon in the top left of the Search Bar Box (see the red box).

When a search does not yield results, a "No results are found" alert is displayed in the Search Bar Box.

To clean Search Text Box [ san juan ] results, To cancel the search and clean the Search Text Box, click the Cancel Icon [ ] (see the red box).
The Radio Location [ 1 km ] feature is a distance filter with a value of 1 km by default, which filters the results by a selected distance.
To open the Radio Location [ 1 km ] feature to select a distance, or to close this feature, click on the Radio Location distance indicator [ 1 km ] on the top right of the Search Bar Box (see the red box).
Slide the distance control to adjust the distance results. In this sample includes a 44 km results.
To disable the Radio Location feature, select checkbox, the search results will not filter by distance.
The Search Bar Box includes a Category Filter [ ] feature, which is used to filter the results by a selecting one or more categories.
To open the Category Filter [ ], or to close this feature, click on the Category Filter [ ] icon on the top right of the Search Bar Box (see the red box).

Important! If your peripheral has a pointer, you can move the pointer over the top of the pin, and the pin tip box appears.
Writing a review is important to our customers. This tells them how they are doing. That is why we recommend that you do a review and let them know how they are doing.
To write a review follow the steps below:

The Weather Widget is the weather information of the map area on the screen. This weather widget reacts depending on the location on the map area where you are on.

Click the Menu Icon [ ] (indicated by the red box) located on the top-right corner of the page. Choose the desired theme and click the Menu Icon [ ] again to close the menu.
To close this page, click the Close Icon [ ] located on the top-left side at the top of the page.
Share is the feature that allows them to share our map. This way they can share the map in a convenient and fast way with others. To share the map click the Share Icon [ ]
Select the platform icon you want to use and follow its procedures.
Aerodrome - An aerodrome, airport, or airfield.
Helipad - A landing area or platform designed for helicopters.
Amenity - Sustenance
Bar - Bar is a purpose-built commercial establishment that sells alcoholic drinks to be consumed on the premises. They are characterized by a noisy and vibrant atmosphere, similar to a party, and usually don't sell food.
Biergarten - Biergarten or beer garden is an open-air area where alcoholic beverages along with food are prepared and served. A biergarten can commonly be found attached to a beer hall, pub, bar, or restaurant.
Cafe - A cafe is generally an informal place that offers casual meals and beverages; typically, the focus is on coffee or tea. Also known as a coffeehouse/shop, bistro, or sidewalk cafe.
Fast food - Fast food restaurant.
Food court - An area with several different restaurant food counters and a shared eating area. Commonly found in malls, airports, etc.
Ice cream – area - Ice cream shop or ice cream parlor. A place that sells ice cream and frozen yogurt over the counter.
Pub - A place selling beer and other alcoholic drinks; may also provide food or accommodation.

Driving school - Driving School which offers motor vehicle driving lessons.
Library - A public library (municipal, university, etc.) to borrow books from.

Bicycle parking - Parking for bicycles.

Bicycle rental - Rent a bicycle.

Bureau de change - Bureau de change, money changer, currency exchange, Wechsel, cambio – a place to change foreign bank notes and traveler's cheques.

Clinic - A medium-sized medical facility or health center.
Dentist - A dentist practice/surgery.
Doctors - A doctor's practice/surgery.
Hospital - A hospital providing in-patient medical treatment.
Nursing home - Discouraged tag for a home for disabled or elderly persons who need permanent care.
Pharmacy - A shop where a pharmacist sells medications.
Social facility - A facility that provides social services: group & nursing homes, workshops for the disabled, homeless shelters, etc.
Veterinary - A place where a veterinary surgeon, also known as a veterinarian or vet, practices.

Arts center - A venue where a variety of arts are performed or conducted.
Casino - A gambling venue with at least one table game (e.g. roulette, blackjack) that takes bets on sporting and other events at agreed-upon odds.
Cinema - A place where films are shown (movie theater).
Community center - A place mostly used for local events, festivities, and group activities; including special interest and special age groups.
Fountain - A fountain for cultural / decorational / recreational purposes.
Nightclub - A place to drink and dance (nightclub, disco, or discothek).
Public bookcase - A street furniture containing books. Take one or leave one.

BBQ - BBQ or Barbecue is a permanently built grill for cooking food, which is most typically used outdoors by the public. For example, these may be found in city parks or at beaches.

Drinking water - Drinking water is a place where humans can obtain potable water for consumption. Typically, the water is used for only drinking. Also known as a drinking fountain or bubbler.
